Vic "The Brick" Jacobs of KLAC 570 says Manny Ramirez "should be a Dodger later this week." Jacobs says it will be "two-year fixed, third-year incentive-laced (Sportsline)."
Not sure how true all of this is, because I am also reading reports that the two sides are no closer then they were 2 weeks ago. Still, this is the deal I said I thought Manny would get. If the Dodgers want him, then this is the kind of deal that will get him. 2 years guaranteed to Manny is not bad, and if you make the 3rd year performance based then I see no real downside to signing him. Manny has ruined the Dodgers offseason, as they have no made any real good signings, so they really need to wrap this up and get ready for a tough season.
