Marvin Harrison's reluctance to take a pay cut could mark the end of his career in Indianapolis.
I always respected Harrison because he stayed out of the news and wasn't a shithead like TO, Moss, Ocho Cinco, but he has done a couple things that make me question his personality. The first was his involvement in that murder of the guy outside of his bar, and now he is going to be a baby and ask to be cut if the Colts ask him to take a pay cut. Marvin Harrison was a premier wide receiver but we saw his stats take a pretty big dip this year, and with the emergence of Anthony Gonzalez, Harrison is no longer Manning's top pass catcher, or even second option. The Colts should cut him regardless because that would take 9 million off the books.
As for Harrison, if he does get cut, he could be an effective weapon on any team.
**UPDATE**
Harrison has officially asked for his release after the two sides met and could not come to an agreement on a restructured contract. If the Colts keep him with his current contract it would be a $13.4 million salary cap hit. I agree with DP...they would be smart to cut him and let him walk.
