Lovie Smith On The Hot Seat
Recent comments made by Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo kind of shocked me...
"I'm counting on the fact we're going to do a better job of coaching and that in itself is going to make us a better football team, irrelevant of what player personnel we infuse on our football team this year (ESPN)."
I always think of Lovie Smith as a very good coach, but it seems like the Bears may be losing patience with him. After bring the Bear to the Super Bowl Smith is only 16-16 and has missed the playoffs in both year. Still, I think he is a much better coach then what is out there, and I think he fits this team really well. It will be interesting to see what the Bears do during free agency, because they are 30 million under the cap, but they have some guys they need to re-sign. You would think that QB, and WR would be their main goal to upgrade.
