"Quarterback Tom Brady made a charity appearance today at a Boys and Girls club as part of the Patriots Charitable Foundation and answered questions for more than 12 minutes in his most expansive coments since his knee injry. Brady indicated that his recovery remains on schedule and he sees no reason why he won't be ready for the Patriots' season opener (Boston.com)."
Obviously great news for Patriots fans. Brady seems upbeat and on target for his return next season. Hopefully the team doctors/coaches feel the same way, so that they can feel comfortable trading Cassel before the NFL draft. Here is exactly what Brady said...
“I’m feeling great. I’m feeling really good. Everything is progressing just as I expected," he said. "There is a lot of hard work that needs to take place, by myself, by my teammates, by our coaches, to get us back to where we want to be.”
Brady was asked if he had a setback.
“I think initially I said there was,” Brady responded. “Since then, there has been nothing. Just working hard on my rehab. There is not much to say when you’re not playing. I’m just trying to focus on what I need to focus on – get stronger, and mentally stronger, so I can go out and try to perform as best as I can next year.”
Brady was then asked if he was throwing at this point.
“Oh yeah,” he said (Boston.com)
