Danica Patrick to Formula 1?

I know, two racing posts in one day. It's cars going round in circles. Blah blah blah. But Danica Patrick is cute, and Formula 1 cars don't go around in circles.

Formula 1 is the top racing series in the world. And the car's are the highest performing vehicles known to man. They go 0 to 60 in 1.7 seconds. And 0 to 100 back to 0 in less than 5 seconds. F1 cars weight 1,300 pounds, and have about 900 horsepower. Compare that to a NASCAR, which weights 3,600 pounds, and has 700 horsepower.

Here's an F1 car racing a jet, and losing by 0.2 seconds.

There's an effort to create an All-American Formula 1 team for 2010, and Danica Patrick is one of the candidates for the 2 open driver positions.

Danica Patrick shouldn't do this. Unless she likes to be embarrassed. She's not particularly good, and is far from dominant. Formula 1 racing is an exclusive club. Only 22 drivers are in it, and only 5 or 6 contend to win races. Danica's an above average sized fish in a very small pond. In F1, she'd be devoured like a piece of plankton.

This would be like Anna Kournikova joining the men's tennis tour, or Doug Mirabelli batting leadoff, or Zdeno Chara playing goalie, or PJ Stock boxing. Don't do it, Danica. Stay in the States, be a driver/model not a joke/model.
