"The Baltimore Ravens released cornerback Chris McAlister, a 10-year veteran and three-time Pro Bowler on Monday (Sportsline)."
The Ravens need cap space if they are going to bring back any of their all pro LBs, including Ray Lewis. McAlister is a shell of what he used to be when he was a cornerstone of Baltimore's prolific defense. Last year he was only able to play in 5 games, and was going to be an $8 million dollar cap hit next year for the Ravens. It is a smart move by them, but this guys career is not over since he is only 31 years old. Look for teams like the Patriots, Packers, and New Orleans to make a run at this guy.
