"The Chicago Bulls made their second big trade in two days on Thursday, agreeing to send Larry Hughes to the Knicks for Jerome James and Tim Thomas (ESPN)."
I always loved Larry Hughes, but he is all washed up. the Knicks did this deal to get rid of another bad contract. This saves the Knicks $600,000 for next year, as they keep making moves to get under the cap.
"James made a grand total of 93 field goals for the Knicks, which amounts to about $240,000 per basket under the five-year (Sportsline)."
Sounds like a Yankee contract. Anyways, Hughes will help the Knicks will their SG spot, while helping with their cap problems too. This move also opens 2 roster spots, so the Knicks might be making another deal before the 3pm deadline. If they do look for it to involve Malik Rose and/or Jared Jeffries.
**UPDATE** That was fast...Knicks just traded Malik Rose and cash to Oklahoma City for Chris Wilcox
