Finally the playoffs are starting this weekend. Here is how I see the first round playing out...
Bulls vs. Pacers: Bulls in 4
Bulls are too good all around, and are as hot as any teams going into the playoffs. Plus the Pacers blow, so this series will be over quickly.
Heat vs. 76ers: Heat in 5
I really like the 76ers, but this is a terrible matchup for them. They like to run, and so do the Heat, and they just have better talent. 76ers will steal a game, because the Heat like to take games off, but they can't hang with this team for long.
Hawks vs. Magic: Hawks in 7
I have no faith in the Magic, and even though I think Howard will go off in this series, and see the Hawks as the better team.
Knicks vs. Celtics: Celtics in 6
If Rondo is 100% it could be over quick, but the Celtics tend to let a couple games slip, and if Melo/Amare get hot they can steal a game or two.
Grizzlies vs. Spurs: Spurs in 6
The Spurs are a little beat up and I think the Grizzlies will give them a better fight then people think, but in the end Spurs are just a better team. If Gay was playing this could be a different series.
Hornets vs. Lakers: Lakers in 5
The Lakers have been struggling, and Bynum being hurt scares me a bit, but the Hornets aren't never good, and Kobe won't let the Lakers lose more then a game.
Blazers vs. Mavericks: Blazers in 7
I hate making this pick because it is the trendy pick right now, but I really like what the Blazers have, and the Mavericks choke every year.
Nuggets vs. Thunder: Thunder in 6
Nuggets have been red hot, but the Thunder have so much more talent. I think the Nuggets can steal a game or two, but the Thunder are built for a big run in these playoffs.
