Louis Murphy's Bad Day
"Police in Gainesville, Fla., arrested Oakland Raiders WR Louis Murphy on Sunday and alleged a series of violations stemming from a traffic stop. Among the allegations, police said Murphy was carrying a bottle of Viagra that he did not have a prescription for. They charged him with drug possession without a valid prescription, failure to obey a police officer and resisting arrest.
Police attempted to pull Murphy's SUV over after they said he was spotted blaring music from it. Police said Murphy wouldn't pull over when flagged by police and that he resisted arrest when they tried to detain him. They said it took three officers to corral the 6-2, 200-pound Murphy into custody (USAToday)."
Well, he's an idiot. All he had to do was pull over and I very much doubt they bust him for Viagra. I guess the reason that Murphy ripped the label off the bottle was that he didn't want his girlfriend to know that he used the stuff. Now everyone knows, he has to go to court, and will be the butt of jokes for years to come.
The Raiders have had a tough offseason. Murphy is now the 3rd Raider to be arrested. Michael Bush was arrested for alleged drunken driving in Indiana on Feb. 12 and Mario Henderson was arrested for allegedly carrying a concealed firearm in Florida on March 17. Then again, what do you expect from the Raiders?
