Matt Walsh Receives Permission to Lie

The NFL and disgruntled former Patriot employee Matt Walsh have come to an agreement that will allow Walsh to submit any and all evidence regarding illegal scouting practices he partook of while working for the Patriots. Walsh has been promised that neither the NFL nor the Patriots will sue him for doing so.

But this also means that Walsh can make stuff up. He can lie, fabricate evidence, forge a few signatures, and make it look like Bill Belichick ordered him to kill Tony Dungy's son. And the Pats wouldn't be able to do anything in a legal sense.

Matt Walsh does have evidence against the Patriots, but the validity of that evidence is what matters. If Walsh's evidence doesn't stand up to scrutiny, the story will fizzle, and all those media outlets and fans that have been calling for Belichick's head during the off-season, will have to wait until Bill doesn't give a hearty handshake at the end of a game or wins by 35 points in order to resume their blind hatred of the man.

But if Walsh's evidence does prove to be true, the Patriots may have a big problem. Super Bowl rings won't be revoked, games won't be forfeited, but there will be massive unrest and upheaval in Foxborough. There will also be a further loss in draft picks, which the aging Patriots cannot afford.

But Walsh's evidence won't hold up to scrutiny. It'll be like the accusations of radio surveillance that came out during SpyGate that were quickly dismissed by the NFL. Sorry, haters, but Walsh's accusation holds as much weight as a guarantee from Anthony Smith.
