Kobe Bryant's Lakers have won the top spot in the west and everyone is surprised. If they do make the championship it would be the youngest team to make it there, since Magics' show time Lakers.
I don't know why everyone is making this a huge issue, Kobe has a great team around him and being the top seed in the West isn't that much of an advantage. They are either playing the Mavericks or the Nuggets, good luck. I will be rooting for the Lakers to make it to the championship so the Celtics can whoop Kobe's over-rated ass.
Another note: I have came to the realization KG will not win the MVP but Kobe does not deserve it, Chris Paul does. Kobe doesn't lead the league in any statistic, Paul leads the league in assists and steals, numbers very comparable to Isiah Thomas in his prime.
