Boomer Fucking Sooner

Anticlimactic. A battle of Big XII titans turns into the First Gulf War. Oklahoma treated Texas Tech like they were Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The Sooners fell 15 points short of their basketball team's total against Gardner-Webb. Tech's best play was a blocked extra point in the 3rd to keep them within 44.

Sam Bradford added 4 touchdowns to his total. DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown each eclipsed the 100 yard rushing mark. Murray had 2 TDs, Brown had 3. 9 different OU receivers caught a pass, and 4 of them caught touchdowns.

But the surprising story was how Oklahoma's defense completely shut down the Red Raiders offense. All the Heisman hype over Sam Bradford vs. Graham Harrell turned into a story of defensive line vs. offensive line. Oklahoma's two lines were outstanding, and pillaged Tech's O and D lines at will.

Tech came into the night averaging 1.8 punts per game. They punted 4 times. They were held scoreless in the 1st quarter for the first time in 14 games. Their 21 points were the fewest since October 20, 2007 (16 games). They were 1 of 13 on 3rd downs. Oklahoma forced 3 turnovers. Tech had allowed 5 sacks all year coming into this game. Harrell was sacked 4 times tonight.

The real question now is: who is the best team in the Big XII South? Oklahoma demolished Texas Tech. Texas beat Oklahoma in neutral territory. Texas beat Texas Tech in a close game in Lubbock.

Texas Tech doesn't have much argument since their win over Texas was very close and at home, and they were just fucked publicly Paris Hilton style.

Texas' argument will be that they barely lost to Tech on the road, and they beat OU on neutral ground. They also beat Missouri.

Oklahoma's argument will be that their loss to Texas was also close, and that they dominated Texas Tech. They also beat TCU.

And all of this is moot if Oklahoma falls to #12 Oklahoma State in Stillwater, which ironically gives Texas Tech the Big XII South, unless Tech loses to Baylor. Or if Texas loses to A&M on Thanksgiving. Colt McCoy's never beaten the Aggies. This gives OU the Big XII South so long as they beat Oklahoma State. It's complicated.
