"Golden State star Stephen Jackson has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for saying he wanted to be traded. Jackson, who averaged a team-best 20.7 points last season, told Dime Magazine last month that he wanted out and had told the front office as much (Sportsline)."
Stephen Jackson is the thug, but this is kind of ridiculous. How many time have we seen a player request a trade? I can't remember anyone else getting fined for it. I hate when players demand to be traded, but I really don't see how you are allowed to go after them for voicing their opinion.
