David Krejci Injury Update

"A week or so back, David Krejci was estimating there was only a 10-percent chance he’d be ready to play in Thursday’s regular season opener at the Garden vs. Washington. As of yesterday, that probability had improved dramatically. When Krejci underwent hip surgery in June, the initial prognosis was that he might not play again until November. But after he skated yesterday in Wilmington, and then joined the team for its two-game trip north, he indicated there was a pretty good chance he would play. Coach Claude Julien even said Krejci possibly could play in the preseason finale at the Garden tomorrow night against Columbus.

“I’d say for him to play (tomorrow) might be a longshot; I wouldn’t write him off,” Julien said before last night’s 2-1 shootout victory over the Canadiens. “But I think as we speak, I’d probably put him at close to a 50-50 chance. It’ll really depend on how the whole week goes, how hard he practices and how he feels at the end of it. I think he was being a little cautious (with his 10-percent estimate); he didn’t want to get everybody overexcited (Boston Herald).”

Not that it realy matters because the NHL season is so long, but it will be good to see Krejci on the ice. He is getting better every year, and I think he could emerge into a top 15 player in this league. I really can't wait for the Bruins season to start!!!
