The Sox are giving the nod to Jon Lester over Josh Beckett to start game one in the ALDS with the Angels. I wanted to argue with this, but Lester is the best pitcher on the Sox and deserves to start over Beckett. This season we have seen Beckett do some weird stuff. He was shut down for a while, then he had a bad case of the homeys (giving up massive amount of homeruns). Lester hasn't seemed to be frazzled once this season and has proved to be a great play-off big game pitcher. So even though I'm Terry Francona's biggest critic and I'm sure he's going to get some shit for this, but I'm all for it. What he does with Buchholz and Dice K will be another thing.
