Well the Royals have taken the first 2 of this 4 game series, but Boston has Beckett on the hill tonight. Beckett is 1-0 with a 2.77 ERA in his last two starts after going 0-2 with a 7.76 ERA in his previous five outings. He also is playing on a extra days rest, so I am expecting big things from Beckett tonight.
Facing him is Luke Hochevar. Listen, I don't get why so many people are all over this guys nuts. He sucks. His ERA is 5.79, and was 0-7 with an 8.21 ERA in nine starts between July 30 and Sept. 12 before he threw a shutout last time out.
Beckett will have his work cut out for his as the Royals have averaged 6.4 runs in the last 15 games. Still, I think Beckett with that extra days rest will rip this team apart.
