The Red Sox extended Terry Francona and his overrated ass to a 2 year 9 million dollar contract that has him through 2013.
Yes, he won us 2 Championships but he's an alright manager and blah, blah, blah. But with those players I think any decent manager could have won it with Grady Little's players and then with Beckett, Manny, Ortiz, Schilling tandems.
I will give him this though, last year I was impressed. I think of all the years of him as a coach last year was his most impressive. He was able to keep them in somewhat contention with a underachieving pitching staff and with key players injured. Logic tell you this year is going to be a walk in the park. You have a revamped bullpen, Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford don't hurt and the biggest question mark is whether the pitching staff can bounce back.
