The nuggets. Chauncey 'i look like a horse' Billups. Kenyon Martin. Mother Fucking Nene. Why? I apologize to those who believe this to be over dramatic, but the Celtics for the first time this year were punished for their below average play. their record, to me, doesnt reflect their play so far this season. Numerous times i was appaled at the turnovers. not only were they frequent, but they were silly...blind no look throws, fundamentally unsound passes and what seemed to me to be a lack of overall confidence. Do we miss Posey this much? I was hoping we didnt.
However to me, tonight emphasized the fact that the Celtics are missing something. They are missing that one piece of the puzzle. That one player that pulls it all together. Posey is in the past, I'm willing to accept that, but lets move on and allow someone else to fill the roll that he held.
Tonight made me nervous. Tonight made me anxious. Tonight made me feel like the players in green know they are missing something, and their play is reflecting that. I wish Rondo took more shots when he penatrated, I wish perk could become a dominant player down low. I wish the Celtics played like they did last year, like they did when they believed.
Over reaction? Na. I dont think so. I love the Celtics, and i always will. Therefore i am willing to call them out when they under-achieve. This is only one game, but a game that had to be won.
what went wrong? Comment. Tell me I'm freaking out and that i need to calm down. tell me its all going to be ok. please. because tonight, the team I love encouraged me to have an early bed time. I hope DP provides a more analytical synopsis.
