Colts 18 Patriots 15
Patriots lost a tough one last night, and there are 2 people to blame. First David Thomas who drew a 15-yard penalty for a late hit, which turned a 4th and inches into a 4th and 16. At first I thought it was a blown call, but near the end of the game they showed another angle, where Thomas was definitely at fault. If the Patriots could have converted that 4th and short they would have been in great position to at least tie the game, but instead Cassel had no choice but to throw deep on a 4th and long, which was intercepted by Bob Sanders.
The other person to blame is Bill Belichick. I know, I can't believe I just said that either, but he didn't do a good job coaching in this game. He burned all the Patriots timeouts in the 2nd half, on stupid things like challenging if there were too many men on the field. It is really too bad, because the Patriots played a good game, and really could have hurt the Colts playoff chances. Kevin Faulk once again was fantastic, and Cassel played a very solid game. The Patriots are now in a 3 way tie for first place in the AFC East, with Miami only behind by one game. Still, the Patriots have a very easy schedule, and I still see them being the best team in this division.
