Queeratek News

The Boston Herald is reporting that Jason Varitek's agent, Scott Boras, is not seeking a deal for Varitek similar to the four-year, $52.4 million the Yankees gave Jorge Posada. In fact, a two-year deal in the neighborhood of $10 million or $11 milion a year is what Varitek is seeking, the paper reports.

A lot of you are going to say, "Oh, that's not that much." (my stomach just rumbled). But lets just remember how bad this guy is. .220 batting average and costs us the playoffs. A lot of people believe he is this defensive stopper and he absolutely isn't, he has a mediocre arm and the area he will be able to cover will only lessen as he gets older. 10 million dollars is way too much for this guy, so don't think about it Sox fans. (I just threw up)
