Yesterday's game was certainly a boost after having the Steelers only loss coming to NFC East teams. The Steelers beat the Redskins 23-6 last night and it was thanks to Pittsburgh's defense whom played with absolute anger from start to finish and held Clinton Portis to only 51 yards. (he had 120 yards+ in his previous 4 games) Kept Jason Campbell to 206 yards with 2 picks (he hasn't thrown a pick this year) and sacked him 7 times after getting zero on ShEli Manning last game.
The big story of the game was that Ben Roethlisberger injured his right throwing shoulder causing the veteran backup, Byron Leftwich, to come in for the second half and expanded the lead. In Ben's absence, Leftwich threw for 129 yards and a TD on 7/10 attempts. Willie Parker's return was also a successful one as her ran for 70 yards and TD after missing the previous 5 games.
Little is known on Ben's status for the upcoming weeks, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was out for a long time. His offensive line hasn't protected him all year and the sacks and knockdowns are finally catching up to him.
