Bruce Bowen Retires
"After helping the San Antonio Spurs win three championships and establishing himself as one of the premier perimeter defenders of the decade, Bruce Bowen is retiring at 38. Bowen told ESPN.com that he will formally announce his retirement at a Thursday afternoon news conference and said he would elaborate more on his decision then (ESPN)."
At one point this offseason I really thought the Celtics were going to be able to land this guy, and after he turned them down I thought maybe he would go back to the Spurs. In the end, he chose retirement, so that he can focus on off the court stuff like community and business (that's what it says anyways). Good for him, he had a great career and has nothing left to prove.
