Eagles coach Andy Reid says quarterback Donovan McNabb is making progress in recovering from a cracked rib, but adds it's too early to say if he will start Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. ESPN
I believe the Eagles look at this as a blessing in disguise. I love Donovan McNabb, but it seems like the Eagles are trying to find any reason to make him not the starter. They signed Michael Vick and now Jeff Garcia, so the writing is on the wall. My prediction is that McNabb is permanently replaced by week 6, regardless how he does.
