“I have no idea whether we’ll get something done [by the deadline],” Rondo said from the visiting locker room at Madison Square Garden. “It’s not something I’m worried about. It’s just not a big deal right now. Of course, I’d like to get it done, but if it doesn’t happen, I’m not going to lose any sleep over it.’’
It is not known how much Rondo is asking for, but a source said it's not the maximum.

This is excellent news. Cedric Maxwell has already stated that he will sign for a 5 year, 50 million dollar deal. I'd do that in a second. Rondo is already an all-star pg and he is only going to get better. He is going into his 4th year and he has already won a title, and last year during the playoffs he did everything he possibly could to see the Celtics make it past the Magic. Unfortunately that didn't happen. He is the centerpiece of this great franchise, sign him up.
