Aroldis Chapman Meets With Red Sox

"The Boston Herald reports today that Cuban left-hander Aroldis Chapman and his agent Edwin Mejia are in Boston Tuesday and Wednesday to explore the idea of playing in Beantown. Mejia is from the Boston area, but there is no indication as to whether that could have any influence on where Chapman signs his first contract in the states (ESPN)."

If the Sox can add another great left hander to this rotation it would be sick. He needs to work on his control, but he has a very live fastball (95-98 MPH). His biggest weakness is he needs to develop a better offspeed pitch, but that will come with time. It will be real interesting to see if the Sox can pull this off. My gut is telling me they will, so lookout for DP beating off somewhere in Boston.
