Rangers Out Of Money

"After getting a loan from Major League Baseball in order to make payroll earlier this season, the latest news out of Arlington is that the Texas Rangers have told faithful fans who purchased playoff tickets that they will not receive refunds until at least November, Tim Cowlishaw writes. The club contends that the organization's money is "tied up with MLB," removing control from their hands. As for the sale of the team, three sets of possible owners reportedly will sit down with Rangers front office personnel next week and the goal is to have a winner decided by late November (ESPN)."

I think you are going to see a lot more of these types of stories come out with the terrible economy going on. I feel bad for the Rangers. They are so close to being a great team, but now you have to wonder if they will be able to hold onto guys like Millwood, Josh Hamilton, and Michael Young. The only good news here is that the Rangers are stacked with talent in the minors (watch out for Derek Holland next year).
