DP's Top Games Of The Decade

1. Vince Young vs USC
Who would not think this was the greatest football game of all time? We saw a man turn into a God this game, and saw Vince Young rattle off a 267 passing attack and a 200 yard rushing attack that included a touchdown scamper with 19 seconds left on the clock to beat the mighty Trojans.
2. Steelers vs Cardinals
Of all the big plays that happened in this game, there is no bigger throw and catch in Superbowl history than Ben Roethlisberger to Santonio Holmes. Yes, the Harrison play was pivotal too, but that throw and catch will be embedded in my memory forever.
3. Celtics vs Lakers
The Celtics were down 24 points in this game, and looked aggrivated and down on themselves. But the spark plug known as "Hard Work" Leon Powe and a easy lay-up by Ray Allen on Vagichick, and the Celtics went waltzing to a 3-1 lead in the finals.
4. Memphis vs Kansas
For a Championship this one was huge. Memphis seemed unstoppable and Kansas just had enough to beat them. Kansas won this game thanks to a ridiculous three by Mario Chalmers with 2.1 seconds left. Too bad Calipari always overlooks free throws.
5. Syracuse vs UConn
Six overtimes, three hours, 46 minutes, beginning at 9:36 p.m. on March 12, ending at 1:22 a.m. on March 13. That's all the real input I can say about this game, because every play was huge.
6. Red Sox vs Yankees (game 4)
Dave Roberts, David Ortiz. This series is probably why I got so many D's that semester.
7. Patriots vs Rams
The Rams were unstoppable, and the Patriots were happy to be there. Well, that's what America thought. An improbably drive by Tom Brady and a clutch kick by Adam Vinitari etched this game as one of the biggest Superbowl victories.

Until
8. Patriots vs Giants
This game happened and ShEli was able to heave a pass after bouncing off many Patriots defenders into the helmet of David Tyree. Then Plaxico caught the game winner as his defender slipped. That was the end of the Patriots dynasty.
9. USC vs Notre Dame
Brady Quinn vs Matt Leinart lived up to all the hype, and they needed an illegal push from Reggie Bush to beat Ty Will... I mean Charlie Weis' Irish.
10. Texas vs Texas Tech
Texas looked unstoppable until Micheal Crabtree decided to catch a pass from Grahem Harrell and scamper to the end zone with no time left.
