Yankees Finalize Contract For Nick Johnson
"Nick Johnson returned to the New York Yankees on Wednesday, finalizing a $5.5 million, one-year contract. Johnson can earn about $1 million more in performance bonuses next year, and the deal includes a 2011 mutual option for at least $5.5 million with possible escalators (CBSSports)."
Kind of funny that Nick Johnson got traded for Javier Vazquez, and now they have both made their way back. Johnson is just solid. He gets on base, is a decent hitter, the problem with him is staying on the field, but he is a nice short money guy to fill in the DH spot for the Yankees now that Matsui has signed with the Angels.
As a Sox fan I say fuck him. He looks like Gomer Pyle from Full Metal Jacket anyways...
