The Bruins and the Canadiens both had their 3 game winning streaks broken last night out, but it is the Bruins that need to be worried heading into this game. Montreal has beat Boston 8 of the last 9 times they have played, and could tie the Bruins for first place in the Northeast Division with a win tonight. So as far as "big games" go for the regular season this will be near the top.
Tim Thomas is having a hell of a year, but Price has also been very good in net for Montreal. He lost for the 3rd time in 5 starts Sunday (4-1 to New Jersey),but could easily bounce back versus the Bruins, who he is 3-0-0 with a 1.97 goals-against average this season and 6-0-0 with a 1.47 GAA in his last 6 starts. Thomas on the other hand is 0-2-2 with a 3.44 GAA in his last four starts against them, but I still hope he is in net tonight.
The Bruins have been playing well of late (other then Saturday) and I except them to regain that tonight. I just don't think of the Canadiens as that great of a team and Boston will show that tonight in a low scoring game.
Bruins win 2-1
Player of the Game: Chara
Game starts at 7pm on Versus
