Troy Polamalu Wins Defensive MVP
Troy Polamalu won his second defensive MVP edging Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews. Pittsburgh safety Polamalu received 17 votes Monday from a nationwide panel of 50 media members who cover the league, edging Green Bay linebacker Matthews by two votes.
Matthews had 60 tackles, 13½ sacks (fourth in league), an interception return for a touchdown, Polamalu had 63 tackles, 7 Interceptions and 1 sack. It's funny because both of them are squaring off in the Superbowl. The last Steelers defensive MVP (James Harrison)had one of the most legendary defensive plays in the history of the NFL, I'd expect the same from Troy.
Which leads me to my next point, SMack, BMack's dad. As we know Bob and his dad are both die hard Packers fans and they should get ready for more let downs, because this will be the first of many. The Packers have been rolling on a soft NFC North Schedule then out played Vick's Eagles, a pretend Falcons team and almost lost to a Caleb Hanie led Bears team. They also have a bye that could throw them off too. Pittsburgh is built for the post season and with only one starting offensive lineman they will be able to stop a soft Packers team.
I can't wait for you to hang up your Aaron Rodger's jersey and your gay ass invisible championship belt up after Sunday.
