The Patriots once again had to say goodbye to a player for the 2008 season, this time it is rookie CB Terrence Wheatley. Wheatley was a 2nd round pick out of Colorado, and struggled learning the Patriots system early in the year. Just as he seemed to be turning his season around he fractured his left wrist in the 18-15 loss to the Colts on November 2nd. It's a tough loss for a team that is very thin at CB, and have already lost out on CBs Hall, and Law. The Patriots are using the open roster spot to promote rookie tight end Tyson DeVree off the practice squad, which is probably a good idea since you never know how much Watson is going to play.
