Lost Recap "Jughead"

This was my least favorite episode since the beginning of season 3, but with that being said even a "bad" Lost episode is better than 90% of what's on TV anyways. So here is how we are going to get through this...I'll do a little recap followed by a "what we know" section, then a "questions" section.

RECAP:
Desmond apparently has a kid, and he is going to join them in their little adventure to help Faraday. To do so, Desmond, and Penny have to head to Oxford to talk to Faraday's mother, who is the creepy chick from Demond's flashback. She is the one that told Desmond that he can't change the past or the future, but he obviously can do something, because Faraday says he is special. The problem with all of this is that Penny's father is in England, and he will stop at nothing to find Penny, and/or the island.

Back on the island they are still traveling through time. There are some military guys on the island. The leader is this woman who has seen Faraday before, saying "You just couldn't stay away, could you?". Creepy, but we have seen Faraday at all different points in time, so this isn't his first go-around. We find out later that these army guys are actually "others", we know this because all "others" have to learn Latin. Juilett is an "other", and knows all this stuff, so I guess mystery solved. Still, they are not anywhere near "their time", because Locke says "This is a .30 caliber M1 Garand rifle. It looks new." That gun is from back in the WWII days.

The Other eventually bring the group to "the bomb", which is one of the funnier things I have ever seen. It is just an atomic bomb hanging on by ropes under some kind of wooden tower. The "others" think that it is Locke and Co. Obviously it is not, but there are a lot of questions with this, so we will come back to it. Anyways, Locke convinces the "others" to bring him to Richard. They kind of do, but one of them ends up running off, and Locke charges into the camp. He shows Richard the compass that Richard had given him on his last little time travel.

Desmond can't find Faraday's mother, so he storms in to Mr. Widmore's office (Penny's father), and asks him. Widmore, for some reason, gives him the address, and how to get there (she is in California). We also find out it is 1954.

Ok, so one more trip back to the island. Locke tell Richard he knows him, and that Jacob sent him. After a little argument one of the guys pulls out a gun. We find out this man is Charles Widmore, just as a young kid. Interesting...

The episode end with Charlotte falling down and bleeding from here nose. Which is what was happening to Desmond last season, so she is fucked if they can't find a way to stop this time travel shit.

WHAT WE KNOW:
- Richard does not age, and seems like he has always been on this island.

- Widmore funds a lot of what Faraday's mother does.

- Widmore has been on the island before, and was working for Richard.

- Locke seems to be really messing with the whole timeline thing..which leads me to the questions

QUESTIONS:
- Since Locke is talking to Richard, and telling him that he is their leader. Wouldn't that be a lot of the reason that they think Lock is "special"? Any the reason Richard goes to see him when he is a little kid? Maybe everything that has happened to Locke on the island is because of what he has done in the last two episodes (feel free to let your mind explode)

- Is the bomb part of the hatch? Is that the power that would have blown up the island?

- How did the bomb get there and why?

- When/Why did Widmore leave the island?

- Why the fuck doesn't Richard age? Does Faraday age?

- What is the connection between Widmore, and Faraday's mother? Did she tell Desmond to go to the island back in season 2 or 3, because they wanted to find it?

- How many times has Faraday been to the island?

Ok, next week we will have a new writer for Lost. Feel free to leave questions/comments about the episode.
