I thought the Rick DiPietro contract was bad, but this one might be worse. Zetterberg is 28 years old, that means when his contract is up he will be 40!! That's nuts! I really do not get this whole trend of giving out ridiculously long contracts. DiPietro is already having knee problems, so you would have thought that the rest of the NHL would have smartened up to this. Zetterberg is a hell of a player, but at 28 years old, it just doesn't make sense to give him a 12 year deal.
