Anderson To Braves

Anderson, who had played his entire career for the Angels, agreed to a one-year deal worth approximately $2.5 million, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Sunday.

Garrett Anderson is one of the guys who I have never taken seriously his whole career, but this is a good pick up by the Braves. It seems as if the Braves have lost out on every free agent this year, and after losing Griffey to the Mariners, Anderson is a just as good of an option. The Braves desperately needed help in the outfield as they were only able to combine for 27 HRs last year. Anderson hit .293 with 15 home runs and 84 RBIs in 145 games for the Angels last season so he will give them some power. My only concern with this signing is that Anderson isn't getting any younger and him playing in the outfield everyday may wear him down.
