Can The Cardinals Make A Run Next Year?

No other team has as many questions as the Arizona Cardinals. After the incredible run to the Superbowl the Cardinals are going to be expected to do a lot next year, but can they do it?

The first off season question is whether Kurt Warner is coming back. They already have Matt Leinart patiently waiting to get into the game and he supposedly is the quarterback of the future. Yes, Warner had a great year and a Hall of Famer, but regardless if he comes back or not, you have to go with Leinart. You saw what Aaron Rodgers can do given the opportunity, so why not try out the guy you drafted?

The second big question is Anquan Boldin. Boldin is going to want to leave because he has been unhappy in Arizona for a wild, secretly he seems pissed that Larry Fitzgerald is the big dick of the team. Fitzgerald already said he is willing to take a pay cut so they can keep Boldin, but after all of the commotion Boldin has done the passed couple of years expect him to be on another team next year. That shouldn't be a big deal either way, because although Boldin is a premier WR, Steve Breaston has what it takes to take his spot.

The third question whether the defense is for real? Talented linebacker Karlos Dansby and defensive ends Bertrand Berry and Antonio Smith are all free agents. defensive end Darnell Dockett, who said he was treated fairly when he negotiated his new contract with Arizona, has three years remaining on a five-year deal worth $22 million and thinks he deserves more money. So you can expect a hold out from him and maybe safety Adrian Wilson. Hypothetically speaking though, even if they re-sign all of these guys (which is unlikely), can they actually defend anyone this upcoming year? Not until the play-offs did we see the Cardinals defense come alive, but during the regular season they were terrible. I personally think the wave has crashed in Arizona and their defense will go back to being terrible next year.

Definitely expect the Cardinals to win a terrible NFC west division, but I can't really see them making another legendary run like they did this year.
