Celtics 89 - Hornets 77

First things first...the Celtics won, word up. Secondly, Ray Allen left the game with a hyper extended right thumb and did not return. talk about some scary news. Of all the appendages i would want to stay out of harms way on Allen's body, it would be a finger on his shooting hand. Prolly not going to be a big deal, but scary none the less. i go a game where he makes the buzzer beating 3, and DP goes there and he gets injured...thats all im gonna say.

The Celtics needed this win tonight. We needed a little West Coast confidence after loosing to the lakers and Spurs. however it has now become clear that NO is not a championship contender. They just dont seem to have all the pieces yet.
Chris Paul returned tonight and had a cosi cosi game with 13 and 5, low for him. he did have some ridiculous circus shots as he usually does, but the Celtics all around team ball was too much for NO. Paul had a big night dropping 30 and rajon had 11 assists.

Its nice to see the Celtics beat a good team and come out with a win, but at this point in the season teams' identities are being solidified in terms of their strengths and post season expectations. The Celtics need to win against teams like this the rest of the season; teams that are in the upper echelon, but not up to the Celtics level.

DP feel free to throw an update in with some first hand accounts of the game.
