DC Movie Review: Gran Torino

This movie had a lot of hype around it, but for the second time in a row a movie lived up to it (the first movie that lived up to the hype was Slumdog Millionaire). Clint Eastwood stars as an old, angry, racist, Korean War vet. He has just lost his wife, and is living in a neighborhood that is being taken over by gangs. He eventually finds some good in the neighborhood, but don't think for a second it stops him from being the biggest bigot around. Eastwood is fantastic in this movie, even though he is 78 years old. The acting all around is very good. It is not as good as Slumdog, but to be honest few movies are. If you like racist jokes, Eastwood being a badass, then you'll love Gran Torino.

4 out of 5 stars
