Sweet Georgia Brown, the upscale dining establishment with "a classic southern flair," was shut down Wednesday after the restaurant's owners failed to pay rent for several months.
The restaurant, owned by former Pistons player Derrick Coleman, has a checkered financial history. Coleman did not return a phone call for comment.
Derrick Coleman was one of my favorite players back in the day, and although many people listed him as a huge bust, I had a soft spot for the "soft" power forward. Other than that there is nothing else to really report other than the name Sweet Georgia Brown is pretty sweet.
