Coach Claude Julien just announced that Michael Ryder is undergoing surgery ''right now''. There is no word on how long Ryder will be out for, but the injury, which was caused by a high stick to the face, was serious enough to require surgery. We do know that Ryder will be wearing a cage or some kind of face mask when he does return. We'll keep you updated when a timetable is set for his return.
