Ryder Injury Update

"Michael Ryder got back to work this afternoon and hopes to be back in the lineup within the next two-three weeks (Boston.com)."

Great news for the Bruins. They need this guy back ASAP, since they are having a lot of problems putting up points lately. Ryder was on a tear before he got hurt, but seems upbeat and I expect him back closer to the 2 weeks rather then the 3 week mark. Here is what he had to say after his hour workout today...

'First day back, always tough,'' said an exhausted Ryder, surrounded by print reporters and cameras after the one-hour workout. ''It will take a bit of work to get back into game shape.''

It won't take long for him to get back into shape, it is more waiting for his face injuries to heal from Vermette's stick braking both his nose cartilage and the sinus bone. It could have been a lot worse since it looked like he had a serious eye injury.
