Incorrect College Football Picks

All apologies to DP, who I disrespected last week. I was 1-3 in my picks (but was only two or three plays from being 3-1, but close doesn't count), bringing my season record to 3-4. I'm looking to rebound this week.

(Thursday) 7:30 PM - ESPN:
#14 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets @ #20 Miami Hurricanes
The U is back, folks. They've got the speed to stick with Georgia Tech's multifaceted run game. Tech struggled at home against Clemson, failing to hang on to a big lead. They'll be behind against Miami, forced to pass, and things will get ugly. Miami gets the upset and moves into the Top 15.

Prediction:
Miami 28, Georgia Tech 10

12:00 PM - Raycom/ESPN360
Boston College Eagles @ Clemson Tigers
The ACC is sadly weak enough to allow a beleaguered Boston College to be competitive. The Eagles will triumph in an abomination of a game loaded with dropped passes, missed blocks, and other hilarious miscues.

Prediction:
BC 21, Clemson 13

3:30 PM - NBC
Michigan State Spartans @ Notre Dame Fighting Irish
I haven't yet seen MSU play this season, but I have seen Notre Dame. And I'm not impressed. I'm gonna give the benefit of the doubt to the Spartans, even though they lost to Central Michigan last week. That can't be worse than losing to Michigan Michigan.

Prediction:
Michigan State 24, Notre Dame 17

3:30 PM - ABC
#19 Nebraska Cornhuskers @ #13 Virginia Tech Hokies
Kudos to both these teams for scheduling each other. Va-Tech is the class of the ACC, which isn't saying much. Nebraska is one of the top 2 teams in the Big XII North, which also isn't saying much. I think Nebraska's blackshirt defense comes up big in Blacksburg, and the Cornhuskers win a tight game.

Prediction:
Nebraska 17, Virginia Tech 13

8:00 PM - ABC
Texas Tech Red Raiders @ #2 Texas Longhorns
Well, after the 3:30 games, things get a little dull. This is the highlight of the later matches. Texas has been all but forgotten the last 2 weeks, because when Tim Tebow runs up the score against Troy, it's news. When Colt McCoy does it against UL-Monroe, it's yawn. Anyway, Texas uses this nationally televised game to get revenge against Tech, and get some much needed attention. Then they play UTEP next week.

Prediction:
Texas 38, Texas Tech 10
