This was a hell of a game. I'll admit that since the Sox got bounced I haven't really cared that much about baseball, but we stayed up and watched the game and it didn't disappoint. Rollins lined a two-run double with two outs in the ninth inning off All-Star closer Jonathan Broxton and the Philadelphia Phillies rallied past the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-4 Monday night for a 3-1 lead in the NL Championship Series. The defending champions can earn their second consecutive pennant with a victory at home in Game 5 on Wednesday night when the Dodgers face World Series MVP Cole Hammels. The comeback began when Broxton walked old friend Matt Stairs on 4 pitches, then hit Carlos Ruiz. Then Rollins who has been terrible this series, going 3 for 18 ripped a 99 mph fastball to right-center and the ball rolled to the wall. Then Carlos Ruiz scampered home with no throw coming close to getting him.
Anyways, I rooting for the Phil's because I believe they could be strong enough to beat the Yankees.
