"According to multiple league sources, the Patriots have released outside linebacker/defensive end Tully Banta-Cain. Banta-Cain was tied with defensive lineman Mike Wright for the team lead in sacks with three and had started two of the team's six games. He did not start on Sunday and was credited with three tackles against the Titans. Banta-Cain had a one-year deal with a base salary of $620,000 (Boston.com)."
I don't really get this. He had been playing well with the Patriots, and with Thomas looking like he is not in Belichick's favor you would think they would need as many LBs as possible. Then again, maybe I was right yesterday when I said that was a wake up call for Thomas, and they just don't have use for this guy.
