"New England Patriots left tackle Matt Light injured his right knee during the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos, and did not return to the game. Monday afternoon, Light was spotted on crutches, moving "gingerly", as per Chris Forsberg of ESPNBoston.com. The LT is currently on a 59-game consecutive start streak going back to 2005. As expected, there's no official word from the braintrust in Foxboro (ESPN)."
As usual the Patriots give us very little to work with, but we should know a lot more once practices start. Obviously this would be a crushing loss for the Patriots, but I don't expect him to be out too long. Rookie Sebastian Vollmer filled in when Light went out, so he'll be first in line as the replacement if the injury keeps Light out of action.
