If the Bruins can pull out a win tonight they will tie the Canadiens for first place in the Northeast Division. The Bruins lost last night, as Rask fell to 2-7, and although I don't think he is playing that bad, I still feel a lot more confident tonight since Tim Thomas (14-2-3) will most likely be in net.
Bruins lost their only meeting so far with the Canadiens (3-1), and have won three straight and six of seven versus the Bruins. Saying that, the Canadiens have also lost 3 in a row, and like I said before Boston just plays better when Thomas is in net.
I agree with what Rob was saying earlier, as I have been thinking the same thing for a while now... guys like Bergeron have to play better. Doing all the "small things" is all well and good, but that is not why he is getting paid what he does. The Bruins need points, and that is going to fall on guys like Savard and Bergeron to get it going.
I'll never pick the Canadiens, so Bruins win tonight.
Boston wins 3-0
Player of the Game: Tim Thomas/Chara
Game starts 7pm on NESN.
