Ducks @ Bruins Preview
Tim Thomas is starting tonight, which means there is a good chance the Bruins will win tonight. The important thing for the Bruins is to get off to a fast start. So far this season the Bruins are 12-0-0 when leading after the first period, which makes sense, since they are a defensive team.
The Bruins offense still is not flowing. Maybe I overrated the talent they have, but I still believe if Savard can get it going it out ignite the rest of the team. I don't know how long they can go through this season relying on Thomas to keep bailing them out, and if that offense doesn't get it going they will be in a lot of trouble.
The Bruins are 6-1-2 in their last 9 homes games, so I expect a win tonight, but Anaheim goalie Jonas Hiller has won both of his starts against Boston and is 4-1-0 with a 1.93 GAA in his last five starts overall. Yet, they are still only 6-9-1 on the road, so this is one the Bruins should win.
Bruins win 3-1
Player of the Game: Savard
Game starts at 7:30pm on Versus.
