I know it was the first loss in the last 15 games, but Rajon Rondo was severely missed on Christmas when Nate Robinson couldn't do anything correct down the stretch. I can't really shit on him that much, he's a back up and been playing over his real ability of late.
The Pacers are a bad but feisty team. Darren Collison, Brandon Rush and Danny Granger all have the potential to have big games if the defense falters, plus they have my son Roy Hibbert at center who is extremely solid. Luckily for the Celtics they have Shaq (even though he's down 35k since his comments about the officiating on X mas) and Jermaine O'Neal back.
I have to dedicate this paragraph to how forgettable Jermaine O'Neal has been this season. I have been excusing his play due to injuries or saying at least he's been playing good defense. However, he has just plain sucked this season, it's almost to the point where I'd rather have someone who put a Rasheed Wallace season effort in then see Jermaine in there. I really hope he can turn it around, because at this point he looks all done.
I think the Celtics are going to win. Even without Rondo they have the better team and as long as they make the Pacers play defense they will control the game.
Celtics: 99-78
