The Atlantic 10 is often looked at and then laughed at, but this year it has gotten a lot more intense. It has four 20 win teams in Xavier, Dayton, UMass, and URI and everyone has beaten everyone this year for the exception of Xavier. Xavier is a sure in, and I am pretty sure Dayton is, but UMass, Temple, St. Joe's and URI have some work to do in Atlantic City to have their names even be talked about. My Breakdown and questions:
URI has fizzled and I predicted they wouldn't even get into the NIT so lets throw them out the window right now.
St. Joe's I just flat out dislike, so screw em.
Dayton has been marred by injuries all season, and is finally healthy, but will that be enough?
UMass has been good enough to be talked about, but will the pressure of bubble team ultimately hurt them?
Temple is a solid team, that really came out of no where, I think they will make it to the A-10 finals.
Xavier has a solid team, but feels "disrespected" about non of their players being all A-10. They are pissed about that and being caught up in the "mid-major" talk. I believe they will be a wrecking crew and kill this tournament.
My finals are Xavier vs Temple. A 1 vs 2 match-up with Xavier dominating.
