Marquette had the game all but won, until Brook Lopez made a fading away lay-up with 1.3 seconds left. I only saw the last half of the game but it was a grind'em out, whoever had the last possession would win, and that is exactly what happened. For Stanford, both Lopez's, Brook and Robin finished with 30 points and 18 points respectively. For Marquette, Jerel McNeal continued his hot hand and had 30 points. However, the effort of Marquette and McNeal was mute due to this shot:
