
The problem is that this won't say who won...
"While he did confirm to Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain Dealer that the competition for the Browns' starting QB job was now over, head coach Eric Mangini refused to say who won. "In terms of the quarterbacks, I have no additional information on that," Mangini indicated after the game. "There's nothing really to add." That's right, because neither Brady Quinn nor Derek Anderson even played on Thursday. Mangini's insinuation in saying that the competition was finished is that the man who takes the first-team reps in practice next week will be the starter come Week One (ESPN)."
My guess is that Brady Quinn won. He has so much more upside then Derek Anderson, and it isn't like Anderson has been on fire during the preseason. We will know sometime after labor day when practice for week 1 starts, but I would really be surprised if it is not Quinn...
